Ian St John

Ian St John was a Scottish international striker born in Motherwell. He began his senior career with Motherwell before joining Liverpool in 1961, becoming part of the side that won two league championships and the club’s first FA Cup.

After leaving Liverpool, St John represented Hellenic, Coventry City and Cape Town City before joining Tranmere Rovers during the 1972–73 season. He later worked as a manager and coach, and became widely known as a broadcaster alongside Jimmy Greaves on Saint and Greavsie. St John died in March 2021.
